Biographical Information

(American, b. 1944) Linda Connor is an American photographer living in San Francisco, California. Best known for her landscape photography, she has photographed a multitude of countries throughout her career including, but not limited to, India, Mexico, Thailand, Ireland, Peru, and Nepal with a large format camera in tow.

Connor’s work is in the collections of numerous museums and institutions including Art Institute of Chicago, Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona, International Museum of Photography, George Eastman House, Rochester, NY, J. Linda Connor is a professor for the Photography Department at the San Francisco Art Institute, where she has taught since 1969. From 1985-1999 she served as a board member for Friends of Photography. When that organization closed its doors in 2001, Connor became founder & president of Photo Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the understanding, appreciation and creation of contemporary photography.  Please note that other works may be available that are not currently on our website.
